A landmark, and a keeper.
How a castle and a lighthouse came to stand over the Central Valley.
Some places are built for a purpose. This one was built for a feeling. You sense it the moment you crest the hill and the whole valley opens beneath you.
The Clovis Castle rose on high ground, where the orchards of the Central Valley give way to granite and pine. Stone by stone, it was made to be looked at, and to look out. At its heart stands the thing no one expects this far from the coast: a granite lighthouse, one of a kind.
It was raised in 2001 by Bratton Construction and built the slow way. The exterior stone was handpicked from the property itself, the copper was chosen to weather rather than shine, and the driveway was laid brick by brick. At its center sits the residence. Above it, the granite lighthouse and its spiral staircase keep watch over fifty-five acres of foothill and the whole valley below.
Built 2001 · 7,500 sq ft · 55 acres · Four en-suite bedrooms · One granite lighthouse

A lighthouse
with no sea.
A granite tower and a spiral staircase, standing over the foothills hours from the nearest coast. It guides no ships. It is simply the reason the estate has its name, and the backdrop every couple comes up the hill to find.
Nothing else
quite like it.
There is no second Clovis Castle: one estate, one granite lighthouse, one view of the whole valley. We keep it immaculate, and we open it for a limited number of events each year.
Bring your people and your vision. We hand over the grounds, the Castle, and the setting for the day, and we keep the details handled.
Come write the next chapter.
The best way to understand this place is to stand in it. We'd love to show you around.
